NASA’s ICESat-2 launched this Saturday! It’s mission is to measure ice on the North and South poles with more accuracy than ever! Just how will they do that? Lasers!
The satellite will orbit at 290 miles up in the atmosphere, traveling at 17,069 mph. Now, that’s fast!
Scientists are hoping to gather information that will help them learn more about the effects of ice changes on the Earth.
What is your hypothesis on what they might find?
